Warranty
PROCESS
In order for Fruehauf’s customers to receive warranty on their new trailer purchase, the trailer must be registered upon sale from the dealer’s inventory. The warranty will begin on this date. The registration form can be filled out on-line “Click Here” or by contacting the warranty department at 866-343-7881 or email [email protected].
- All warranty claims for general body will be processed through the Fruehauf warranty department and must have prior authorization before any warranty work may be performed. The warranty coverage sheet will be used to help determine warranty and course of action for other components or you may contact the Fruehauf warranty department for assistance.
- When contacting a warranty department, it is important to provide as much information as possible with the problem. It will also be necessary to provide the last eight digits of the VIN and you may be required to send digital photos of the problem.
- If it is determined the issue is from Fruehauf workmanship, the dealer can submit a claim form “Click Here” and will be provided a claim number from the Fruehauf warranty department. Otherwise, the warranty claim will go through the Manufacturer of the part having the problem.
- After authorization of the repair from Fruehauf and the work is completed, the repair facility must provide an invoice. The invoice will include the VIN, claim number, and contact information of the repair facility. The material and labor will be separated on the invoice and include detailed description of the work performed. Labor will follow NTDA labor hours guide or other Manufacturers guidelines as necessary. This can be sent by regular mail or emailed to [email protected].
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in a denial of claim.
